Services
ACER shares your vision for the future - an action plan for implementation
of a national monitoring program which is sustainable with measurable benefits
to individuals and to the community at large and which can be carried out
by volunteers supported by staff and experts.
We have worked with 30 groups to implement a tree monitoring system as
part of a national network. There are now 5 active sites in Ontario where
we are working with outdoor education centres, their school boards and their
communities as well as local conservation authorities on paired one-hectare
forested biodiversity plots for Environment Canada. We have also developed
protocols for field work in observing and reporting tree growth and health,
birds, bloom times and earthworms.
